College is supposed to bridge your adolescence to your adulthood. College can also close the gap between ignorance and knowledge. When you go to Stony Brook, however, you learn quite easily that the bridge that's supposed to carry you across to that place doesn't go where you planned, like the fabled "Bridge to Nowhere" that stood, connecting the Union to the side of the Melville Library until the Summer of 2002.

Here, you'll read about the journeys of many people who've crossed the Bridge and where it led. I'm only a storyteller and I'm not asking to be believed, only heard. I think just by reading the many stories of the individuals who came before and how they fare now will help others across the path they now face.

And if you're not into all that, I tell some pretty weird-ass stories you'll like to read anyway.

Enjoy.

Mike Contacted me asking if I was interested in publishing his articles on his reflections of Stony Brook. He promised me fresh content twice monthly. He's a fine writer, and I'm proud to have him on board. I hope you find some entertainment out of the "End of the Bridge", if anyone has any feedback or opinions, contact me or Mike directly. If anyone would like their own place to shine, email me.

Mike Imprixis is a May 2002 graduate of SUNY- Stony Brook. He currently works as a copywriter and runs a non-profit organization to help promote charitable works. He was known as Pimp when he was Secretary of the Commuter Student Association and the Oracle during his time as a graduate student but please don’t bring that up because everyone gets stupid nicknames in college.
